Bradshaw Acquires Laser Source USA

RICHARDSON, Texas --- The Bradshaw Group Inc., an industry leading provider of high quality printers, parts and supplies, announced last Thursday that it has acquired the assets of Laser Source USA Inc.

“We are pleased to announce our first acquisition in the desktop parts distribution sector, and the overall expanded capabilities that Laser Source can now offer its customers,” said Monty Milliner, President of Bradshaw. “In today’s economy, service organizations need suppliers that can support a broader range of products than ever before.”

As a result of the asset purchase, Laser Source’s current President Bryan Jobe will become a valuable addition to Bradshaw in the Network Print Division. The synergy between the two companies is immediate and will allow customers from both Bradshaw and Laser Source to benefit from a larger portfolio of offerings.

“We are very excited about merging with Bradshaw to deliver a more robust and comprehensive offering to our customers. Our goals of growing and providing product and technical support to our customers are aligned and we look forward to a long-term relationship with Bradshaw,” said Jobe.

Recent Announcements from InfoPrint

The following announcements were made by InfoPrint Solutions

In order to continue to focus on its production print
hardware, software, solutions and services, InfoPrint Solutions has announced
a withdrawal from marketing (WFM) for workgroup, industrial and cutsheet
products worldwide, with an effective last order date of December 30, 2011 in
the U.S. Other countries may establish an earlier last order date. This WFM
includes all machines, features, machine equipment specifications (MESs),
requests for price quotes (RPQs) and associated Maintenance Packs.
Maintenance will still be available for withdrawn machines, but must be
obtained directly from InfoPrint Solutions. Excluded from this WFM is the
InfoPrint Pro C900AFP.

This WFM does not affect our supplies products. InfoPrint
Solutions will continue to support supplies sales for InfoPrint-branded workgroup,
industrial and cutsheet segments for the foreseeable future, and the process
for acquiring supplies will not change.

As previously announced, in the U.S. China, Japan and Korea,
InfoPrint Solutions’ name will change to Ricoh Printing Production Solutions
(RPPS), LLC. In all other countries where the company exists, InfoPrint
Solutions will gradually be integrated into our parent company, Ricoh Company
Ltd, over time.

This strategic decision is the next logical step in Ricoh’s
focus on production print, and enables their production printing business
units including RPPS, to offer a product and solutions portfolio that speaks
to growing market needs, and to deliver innovation in print production
technology. We remain committed to supporting our Solutions Partners and
customers during this transitional period.

Continuous form, continuous improvements

The InfoPrint 4100 Advanced Function Printing (AFP) System has long been an industry-leading EP continuous form platform – a favorite of service bureaus, direct mailers and transactional printers. The recently announced T models offer these improvements:

  • Engine enhancements, which focus on consistent print quality and paper handling across multiple speeds for added flexibility.
  • Multiple serviceability features, which can help reduce cost, improve uptime and increase reliability.
  • Expanded Version 7 toner support, which delivers better fuse grade and print quality at ultra high speeds with heavy paper stock and higher toner yield compared to non-Version 7 toners.

"With the increased interest of customers to migrate to full color, we believe that monochrome printing will be an excellent technology companion moving forward, especially with targeted communications or TransPromo applications," said Winston Liu, Director, Production Solutions at InfoPrint. "These latest additions to our InfoPrint 4100 product line show our continued dedication to this space. By offering our customers more flexible, sustainable and cost-effective options, we are confident that our momentum in this market will continue well into the future."

The InfoPrint 4100 models print at speeds up to 330 linear feet per minute*. They support AFP with color emulation functionality, so you can print color applications compliant with AFP architecture without changes on both color and InfoPrint 4100 printers. As a result, you can confidently roll out Precision Marketing and Print-On-Demand, applications to complement digital color platforms such as the InfoPrint 5000 inkjet printer or the InfoPrint Pro C901 cutsheet printer.

If you want to ease into continuous form printing with a compact, entry-level solution, check out the InfoPrint 75 and InfoPrint 100. These models are ideal for invoices, picking slips and label printing, and they enable you to transition easily to the InfoPrint 4100 models or to digital color offerings.

* Exact speed varies depending on document complexity, system configuration, software application, driver and printer state.
